Software Activation
After installing your PaymentMate software
Each PaymentMate software application you install requires activation. When PaymentMate runs for the first time,
it requests the codes to register the software before you may begin using it. After your software is activated,
you will not have to register it again, unless you change the computer name configured in the Microsoft Windows
operating system. In that case, you will have to reactivate PaymentMate.
To activate PaymentMate, you must enter the following in the
Registration Information
dialog box that opens when you
first run the software:
1. Your customer number.
This is a four-digit number provided by a PaymentMate support technician (also called a RetailNet ID).
2. The business Zip code.
This is the postal code for the physical address where the computer running PaymentMate is located.
3. An activation code.
This is a 10-digit code provided by a PaymentMate support technician, which is unique for each computer.
To request activation codes
If your contract with Tempus Technologies, Inc. stipulates a user fee based on the number of computers on
which you have installed PaymentMate, your monthly fee will increase with each activation code you receive.
